Changemakers from around the world will be traveling to New York City for the UN’s 74th General Assembly to design solutions for the globe’s most urgent issues.
Ironically, many of them will miss the mark by neglecting to spend their money - and thus casting their vote - where it truly matters. Local spending is one of the most powerful ways for consumers to make their impact, and by empowering visitors to shop local, we’re helping the aspiring entrepreneurs thrive.
In partnership with The Butterfly Club, a new initiative aimed at curating a community of business owners and conscious consumers alike, Impact Hub New York Metropolitan Area is proud to host General Assembly - Makers Expo.
Participants of the General Assembly are often stuck within walking distance of the UN, so we’re bringing the local neighborhoods to them. At General Assembly - Makers Expo, we will be giving people the chance to get to know and support the real New York - and celebrate the creators that inhabit it.
The General Assembly Makers Expo will feature:
● 20+ local vendors across industries from neighborhoods across the metropolitan area
● Local food vendors, bringing diverse food innovations to the table
● Distribution of an Impact Map, highlighting local businesses near the UN
● Opportunity for sponsors and partners to distribute materials and social media branding
Our goal is to create more visibility and opportunity for good, local businesses, while protecting both people and the planet.
